A complexly crafted one hour opus, culled from two sessions on a wet and windy Wednesday night in November 2003. Mixed and enhanced from the 4-track by Jim in 2005 and then finally carefully reconstructed by Alan 5 years on from the initial recording. In keeping with the weather both Alan and Steve opted to use lots of sound samples (nature sound discs and tape loops) and unusually very little use of synthesizers, with guitar and bass, along with lots of other gadgetry, processed with ring-modulators and layers of echo and delay lines. Jim's role was chiefly to hold it together with a melodic focus and that uniquely Endgame sound. Got an hour to spare? Then submerge yourself in a weird sonic trip to the bottom of the Earth's oceans, to the core, to inner and outer space and then back again. Another uniquely different Endgame excursion. And, there is no random splice - guaranteed!

The Small Earth (Xylem Remix) is a special extra for downloaders, and for those the find a one hour opus too much to take!

Endgame music is instantaneous invention. Initially Endgame stepped on from German cosmic music in the manner of Zeit era Tangerine Dream, akin to Lightwave, the INA-GRM school or Morphogenesis.
