about

Quite obviously a dedication to the spirit of the most out-there Krautrock and the German industrial underground. Faust - most obviously. Jim did a wonderful psychedelic "fried" mix on "A Faustian Farmyard" itself, which as much reminds me of Volcano The Bear meeting Nurse With Wound at a Monty Python convention!? "A Marvellous Metal March" may be a Faust like title, but it is and isn't Faust-like, it's... And then there's "Brainhead" full of fried crackle, looming tension and an awesome crescendo. So, this is not at all a typical Endgame record. Warning: All anomalous noises on this record are purely intentional!

Expect references/dedications to Nurse With Wound, Krautrock, etc. Endgame were very busy on the session front for almost a decade, and continue to play live together occasionally. The archive is vast. ... more
