about

A selection of more serious major works from the "Alles Über Schizophrene?" era of Endgame sessions, all originally noted as: possible 2CD piece? - i.e. what might have been the sequel to Khimaira, if we'd had the money to invest in a 2CD set! Instead these choice pieces waited on the back-burner for a decade, almost forgotten until now. As such, the disc opens quite oddly with "Psilocybin Software" which soon changes focus to become a curiously cosmic opener with strange diversions. Next up is "Visionquake" a deep subterranean excursion that's probably the closest we ever got to Interstellar Cementmixers? Finally we have the weird kind of almost "classical" contemporary avant-garde that is the bizarrely titled "I Chew In The Hopper".

about

Endgame Leicester, UK

Endgame music is instantaneous invention. Initially Endgame stepped on from German cosmic music in the manner of Zeit era Tangerine Dream, akin to Lightwave, the INA-GRM school or Morphogenesis. Expect references/dedications to Nurse With Wound, Krautrock, etc. Endgame were very busy on the session front for almost a decade, and continue to play live together occasionally. The archive is vast. ... more
