about

Four musicians meet, for a one-off collision of ideas,
reactions clash, blend and fuse...
the melting pot is ready, the contents bubble!

An impromptu one-off session, that lead to the creation of a music, not quite Endgame, and almost seriously avant-garde, notably due to Nick Mott (of Volcano The Bear and Songs From Norway, also guest with The Newt Hounds) and his strangely ethereal violin. It put us in a different frame of mind, transporting us back to the kosmische weirdness of the early 1970's, somewhere between esoteric Stockhausen, Kluster/Cluster and the darkest Tangerine Dream, it's a unique invention. It stood on the shelf a while, but is a unique creation that we keep coming back to, hence its eventual release. We called this project "Eruption" after the then unheard German Kluster related outfit, to which we imagined we may have sounded like - only a decade on did we discover that we weren't so far off!

Endgame Leicester, UK

Endgame music is instantaneous invention. Initially Endgame stepped on from German cosmic music in the manner of Zeit era Tangerine Dream, akin to Lightwave, the INA-GRM school or Morphogenesis. Expect references/dedications to Nurse With Wound, Krautrock, etc. Endgame were very busy on the session front for almost a decade, and continue to play live together occasionally. The archive is vast. ... more
